When Kimberly sat Ron in the playpen with Deedee, Deedee saw that he had recovered somewhat from his anger. His face was still red and puffy from the crying and his nose was running, but the maddened look of fury had disappeared from his eyes. Ron sat listlessly as Kimberly bustled away to the kitchen. Deedee crawled tentatively over to her infant husband and gave him a quick peck on the cheek with her lips before dropping back to see his reaction. Ron smiled sadly in response at her attempt to make him feel better and picked up the toy truck that lay by his side. Deedee smiled shyly at him and picked up another one of the toys to keep him company while he diverted himself from his troubles with his truck.
