He shrugged. “They caught her with a boy, I think. I didn’t wanna get yelled at, so I didn’t stick around to see. Carrie’s taking it really bad though. I could hear her crying.”
Little bubbles of worriment popped up all over Megan’s mind as she attempted to find the cause for her sister’s state of woe. She started with the most extreme possibilities and worked her way in. Was she pregnant? God, she hoped not. Carrie was only 15! Maybe her grades came and they were really sucky. Not likely; Carrie was fairly bright and her parents would flip out THIS much over grades. Something to do with her creepy new friends, maybe? A possibility, but again she did not know. She would simply have to find out on her own.
