“We had some music on, too,” Carrie continued. “Didn’t even here Mom come in. She came right into the room, no knocking or anything. Scared the shit out of us.”
“She was probably every bit as scared as you were,” Megan pointed out. “Maybe even more.”
“Yeah, whatever. That still didn’t give her the right to do what she did.”
“Well…what did she do?”
“She pointed at Chris and told him to get out. Before she called the police. No chance to explain, no chance for me to say goodbye. Nothing…. just get out. And then she started yelling at me. She was madder than I’d ever seen. But I was mad, too. I didn’t even do anything and she wouldn’t let me explain and I just lost it.”
