“What do you mean not OLD enough?” he demanded to know.
“I don’t even know if I’m old enough,” Megan joked.
Stephen gave her a quizzical look and she ruffled his hair.
“I hate when you do that,” he remarked.
“I know.”
Despite all the misgivings, apprehensions and concerns, the rendezvous went off without a hitch. There were no screams for help, no causes for alarm. When it was over, Chris politely bid everyone goodbye and quietly ducked out the door. When Carrie emerged, she was nearly glowing.
“Have fun?” Megan asked.
“Oh yeah.”
“That’s good. At the risk of grossing myself out…what’d you guys do?”
