The figure was much higher if little girls were excluded from the statistics. When they considered the age of potty training by little boys alone, they discovered that almost seventy percent of four-year-old boys aren’t fully potty trained. Now children are five before the two percent figure is reached. In thirteen years children have lost a year’s worth of development and sphincter control. My son’s doctor told me that the percentage of children who are bedwetters after age six is increasing too. In nineteen ninety-seven only ten percent of eight-year-olds used to wet the bed.
