“Is that going to be a problem?” she asked hopefully.
“Nope,” Kylie answered earnestly. “Just don’t ask me to change you.”
“You know you wanna,” she joked.
With their souls unburdened and their secrets out in the open, they were able to relax once more.
“Wanna go swimming?” Kylie offered.
“In the lake?”
“Ya-huh.”
“Isn’t it…. um……kinda dirty?”
“Nah, it just looks that way.”
Megan remained a bit skeptical.
“Hey, I’ve been swimming in it for years. Do I have warts?”
“Nope,” Megan answered.
“So then come on.”
Megan hesitated. She called to mind what happened the last time she went swimming. “I don’t have a bathing suit.”
“Well, you could go skinny-dipping, although I don’t recommend it. Or you can borrow one of mine.”
“Umm….”
“Meg, what’s wrong?”
“I don’t wanna pee in water,” she whispered.
“Oh. OK. Umm…. do you have extra diapers?”
“Yeah, why?”
“Cuz I have an idea.”
