“Another nightmare?” Tony asked.
“Another accident, too,” K.J. replied, blushing as she patted the front of her diaper. It had six tapes and rode high on her waist. For all she knew, it was the same brand that Emma wore.
Tony stroked the side of her face, ran his fingers through her hair. “Aren’t you glad I talked you into those?” he asked. “We’d both be out of a place to sleep by now if I didn’t.”
“Just shut up and change me,” K.J. answered, giving him a gentle kick with her foot.
She caught him looking down at her, past the edge of her nightshirt, past her navel, to the diaper below. More than just a flash now, it was a white mark on the rest of their lives.
