They had just sat down to eat when all hell broke loose. It began with the sounding of a car horn. Everyone looked over to see two figures fast approaching.
“What are THEY doing here?” Nancy asked, her cheeks crimson with frustration.
“Hello Mother,” said Jessica. “We were supposed to be with friends, but they are redecorating. Thus, here we are.”
“How…nice,” Nancy remarked through clenched teeth.
