There Megan lay while her parents continued to lecture her on the meaning of responsibility, accountability and the importance of family. They also discussed the terms of her punishment. Thankfully, her grounding did not prohibit phone use (or else she might have died…), but there were other ramifications to be had. Because she apparently could not be trusted to wear diapers on her own, she would wear nothing to cover them while at home. Ordinarily, she would have argued and contested this ridiculous proposition until she was red in the face. However, she merely glanced up and nodded. Yes. Fine. Whatever. She was numb from embarrassment and it had been a long, messed up night.
