Megan found herself giggling at her mother’s overreaction. “Nothing,” she answered, a wide grin on her face. “I need my diaper changed.”
“That wasn’t nice,” Nancy replied crossly. “You had me worried there.”
Megan shrugged and Nancy began to tickle her feet.
“Mom, stop,” she said in a more assertive adult manner. Unfortunately, the change in tone failed to be persuasive and she found herself laughing and begging for mercy within a twenty-second span.
