Megan splashed her in retaliation and they began to chase each other around the lake. It was hard to believe that she was merely a U-turn away from missing out on what was probably the best day of her summer.
“Thanks,” Megan said when she was ready to leave. “That was fun.”
“No, thank you,” Kylie insisted. “I get really bored around here.”
“Well next time, you come visit me.”
“Will do, roomie.”
“Bye-bye.”
“Stay dry!”
Megan blushed and Kylie gave her an assuring pat on her diapered butt.
