When and if she did agree to meet him, she would bring Kylie along. At least then she knew that she wouldn’t be doing anything else really stupid: Kylie would sooner tie her up and lock her in a closet than allow her to bring harm upon herself.
The remainder of the drive home was devoid of serious thought and reflection. That would come later when she went to write in her journal. In the meantime, Megan put the music on and let her concern get swept up in the breeze as she rocketed down the highway.
