Howard padded over to his dresser in his bare feet and took out one of the three pairs of underwear in the drawer. Anita had washed them just before they went to sleep the night before. When sat on the edge of the bed to pull them on, they seemed a little tight. Howard couldn’t understand how the underwear Anita bought him continued to fit. When she had bought them, he had been the size of a sixteen-year-old, and then they had been a snug fit. He had shrunk considerably in that time and they still seemed to fit snuggly. What was going on? Was Anita shrinking them in the wash?
