He had just finished his year 11 exams; which, in the normal run of things, would have led him into college to learn a profession and then on to join the corporations. He had been invited to a party by some people he knew of but rarely saw but still called friends nonetheless. Most of them spent more time out of school than in. He knew that they lived off the enclave and, seeing as very soon his family was likely to be sent to another enclave, he thought it would be a good way of saying bye to the few people he respected. As the party was to be held at their family’s home; it should be a good night out.
