Raven-Shade Hall, England 1883
A young girl wearing a beautiful frilly white dress, with short puffed sleeves, was playfully running around a beautiful set of gardens, the dress itself was quite short, in fact the dress itself looked to be more like a baby girl’s dress. The young girl had long Raven black Hair and cat green eyes.
The blackness of her hair was striking against the shear whiteness of her dress, atop of the young girl’s head there was a crisp white silk ribbon, tied into an elegant bow. In the far background beyond the gardens, there was a Gothic looking building, it had ivy clad walls and lead panelled windows, this building was an old manor house.
Off white statues were situated in the garden that was the nearest to the manor house, the young girl ran weaving in and out, in-between the tone statues. “What the Devil do you think you are doing young Lady?” Came a cold, chilling voice from behind the young girl in white, who stopped and began to quiver.
The young girl turned to face the person who had shouted out unto her.
A tall woman now stood before the young girl, the woman was wearing a long black flowing dress, her eyes were cat green too, her hair was also Raven black that draped down to the ground, the shear blackness of the woman’s hair set against the dark black of her dress, made this woman look like one of those wicked witches out of a fairy tail book.
The young girl looked up at the tall woman, trembling before her. “I…” The young girl’s voice faltered. “Me waseths just pwaying in the gardens M, m,m,m Mummy.” The young girl cried, the woman in black looked down at the young girl scornfully. “You, wicked, wicked child. You only know all too well that these gardens are forbidden to you and yet you still defy me. You shall be locked up
in your room, FOREVER.”
The tall woman in black grabbed hold of the young girl by her arms and dragged her across the garden towards the Gothic manor, they entered into the great Gothic hall, the woman in black dragged the young girl in white all the way up the Gothic looking spiral staircase up to the first floor, then she dragged the young girl down a long corridor to the far end.
At the far end of the corridor there was a thick heavy set black door, with a big black door handle and an ominous big looking keyhole. The woman in black opened the door and flung the young girl onto a plain white bed that had a stiffened hard mattress upon it. The woman in black then picked up the young girl from the bed and reached down to the crystal ball like pendant that hung from around her neck. “You do not deserve to have this, you wicked, wicked child, I condemn thee…”
Raven-Shade, England 1983
The town of Raven-Shade was a medium-sized town where the townsfolk on the whole were easygoing,
Raven-Shade was situated in the southern far end of Yorkshire.
There was a young boy that lived in Raven-Shade, his name was James Mayflower.
Because everyone in Raven-Shade was mostly kind and friendly, James never got teased about his surname.
James had long Ash blonde hair and blue eyes.
Although James was kind and polite, he was at times naughty.
However, he was never overly naughty.
James Lived with his Aunt Mary.
Sadly James’s parents had both died.
They had died in a hotel that was burnt down when the room that they were staying in, mysterious caught fire.
Mary was the only relative James could go and live with, Mary was James’s mother’s sister.
James had a weak bladder unfortunately and as a result, he had to wear nappies.
Aunt Mary was a bit eccentric.
Every now and again, she made James wear baby boy clothes, ones that fitted him.
They lived at No. 51 Windmill Lane, in a 2 bedroomed semi-detached house.
The house was a part of a nice rural housing estate, which was only a car drive away from Raven-Shade Hall itself.
Raven-Shade Hall had a long deep history.
It was the ancestry of the Raven-Shade line, which was how the town had gotten its name from.
The Raven-Shade name had once been a noble family line, though somewhat mysterious.
Sadly, over the years, the Raven-Shade name became tainted.
A dark sinister mystery hung over the great manor.
There had been a mysterious fire that had almost burnt down Raven-Shade Hall to rubble.
Not much was left apart from the odd few walls that had been left still standing.
A group of people had spent many, many years raising funds to get Raven-Shade Hall rebuilt in part, and fully restored.
As it was, Raven-Shade was turned into a stately home that was opened to the general public.
Mary had been kind enough to take James to go and visit the famous ancestral home of the Raven-Shade family line.
A group of people, mostly tourists had gathered at the entrance.
The guide was a young woman, wearing a suit jacket, pencil short skirt, who wore thick-rimmed glasses, and had her hair in a tight-fitting bun.
The woman looked more like an estate agent than a tour guide.
She came out to greet everyone at the entrance to Raven-Shade Hall.
“Ladies and gentlemen, oh and children to of course…”
Remarked the woman in a rather condescending tone.
“Welcome to Raven-Shade Hall. Now if you all could follow me please and do not touch anything.”
The woman also sounded very authoritarian, which made James cringe a little, as his aunt sounded pretty much in the same way.
The tour guide began to lead the group through the hall of the manor, which its walls were lined with black marbled statues.
There was various displays encased in security glass cases.
Others were fenced off by railed ropes tied from end to end.
The tour guide took everyone from one display to another.
She would stop and give a lecture on each one.
Soon enough, James became bored and he would not keep still.
Aunt Mary soon became cross with him.
“Will you stop that fidgeting?”
“But Aunt Mary, I’m bored.” Remarked James loudly.
Suddenly everyone turned to face James and Mary.
Aunt Mary looked at James crossly.
She then grabbed James by his arm and turned to face everyone in the group.
“I am ever so terribly sorry about this everyone, I will need to take my nephew back home.”
Quickly Mary dragged James out of Raven-Shade Hall.
As she got him outside, she turned James around to face her, as she held in firmly by his arms.
“James, how could you embarrass me like that?
You have done this way too many times now James.
You now leave me with no other choice, but to take you out in public dressed as a baby girl.”
“What? No… Aunt Mary, please don’t do that please…” James cried.
“James you have only brought this upon yourself, so stop that.”
“You shall go to your room in your baby boy clothes.
Over the next few days I shall be buying baby girl clothes just in your size.”
Aunt Mary dragged James to her car and drove all the way back to No. 51 Windmill Lane.
Aunt Mary took James up to his bedroom, undressed him, and put him in a baby blue romper suit.
“Right, you shall stay in that for the rest of today and all of tonight.”
James spent the rest of his time crying.
The day past and nighttime came.
There was a full moon out in the midnight sky, and it shone quite brightly.
By now James was in his bed fast asleep.
Suddenly something woke him from his sleep.
James got out of his bed in a trance-like state.
He went out of his room, down into the kitchen, and out into the garden.
To James’s surprise, more than shock, there was a young girl wearing a white frilly dress, standing in the middle of the garden.
James was not afraid, he timidly however went up to the young girl.
“Hello.”
The young girl turned to face him.
Her face lit as soon as she saw James standing there.
“Oh how so CUTE! A widdle baby.”
“Hey… I am not a baby”
“But you are dressed as a widdle baby.”
“So are you.” Remarked James.
Jameshad noticed that the dress the young girl was wearing was baby girl like in design.
The young girl simply smiled at James.
“Well, me wuvs my baby girl clothes.”
James scratched his head as the young girl looked to be near to his own age, but she talked as though she was an infant.
“Why are you dressed like a baby girl?” James asked.
“Why are you dressed like a baby boy?” The girl replied/
James could not answer her.
He noticed a crystal ball-like pendant around the girl’s neck.
“What is that?”
“This… this iseths my Moon Stone.”
“What?”
High up in the midnight sky the full moon began to shift.
Mysteriously it slowly began to move towards and over the two youngsters.
The Moon Stone pendant around the young girl’s neck began to glow.
Suddenly she grabbed hold of James’s hand.
A shimmering glow began to flow from the Moon Stone pendant.
This glow flowed down the young girls right hand that held it.
The glow of light spread from her right to her left.
The light flowed down her left arm to her hand where she held James’s right hand.
He and the young girl were soon enveloped in a glowing, shimmering light.
Two shimmering bodies glowed in the garden of No. 51 Windmill Lane and then they suddenly vanished.
James Mayflower and his newly found friend stood in the centre garden of, No. 51 Windmill Lane.
The moon was full and it shone down upon them.
A crystal ball like pendant hung around the young girl’s neck.
The crystal ball like pendant began to glow mysteriously.
The glow began to spread out from it, and surround the two of them in a shimmering glow.
Then suddenly, they vanished.
The air was cold, the sky was black, the moon hung over them both.
However, James soon noticed that he and the young girl in the white frilly dress were no longer stood out in the middle of his Aunt Mary’s garden.
In fact, both of them were now standing outside Raven-Shade Hall.
To them both, it looked different somehow, and much older.
The girl smiled and began to guide James by his hand toward the manor house.
However, James pulled away from her.
“Hey, where do you think you are taking me?”
“Why into the manor of course silly.”
“What? No way, how did we get here anyway?”
The young girl smiled at him in a child-like way and innocently replied.
“Moon Magic…”
James looked at the young girl, wondering if she was some kind of a nutter.
But then again, he was wearing a baby blue baby romper suit.
However, he replied. “There is no such thing as Moon Magic.”
“Yeth there iseths.”
“Will you stop that?”
“Stop what?”
“Lisping like some kind of a sissy girl.”
“But, me iseths a girl, and me wuvs lisping.”
“But you are far too old.”
“Me iseths younger in my heart and soul.”
“What does that mean?”
“You will understand, not weady are you.”
“Eh, ready fwo what?”
“To accept Moon Magic of course and other fings.”
“OK, so why don’t you tell me then about this Moon Magic?”
“Not out here.”
“Why?”
Suddenly and unexpectedly, the young girl began to cry.
James looked worriedly at her.
“Is there a reason why we can not discus this out here in the open.”
“No… no… no…”
The young girl cried and in a low whisper into his ear the young girl uttered unto James.
“It’s not safe.”
Then, with unbelievable strength, the young girl dragged James all the way towards Raven-Shade Hall.
The young girl dragged James into the Gothic hall of the manor.
James noticed that the many grand and Gothic displays were not encased in security glass cases, or fenced off by railed ropes.
“Say… where did the display cases, and the fenced-off ropes go to?”
The young girl smiled at him, turning him to face her.
“You fool, we are not in your real now silly.”
“What are you talking about?”
“Can’t you tell silly?”
“Well…”
James turned to take a real good look.
The manor house did look a whole lot more older, from the manor house he had seen.
The restoration of Raven-Shade looked like it was a replica of its once original state.
The manor house would never truly look the same way it once used to be.
“This house looks to be older somehow.”
“Yeth, well of course it looks older silly, because this iseths the original house”
“But, but, how? How is this possible?”
“Me haseths alweady told you silly… Moon Magic.”
“Oh, that. Can you tell me more about that? Cool, I have always wanted to time travel.”
Suddenly the young girl laughed,
James looked slightly hurt and confused.
“Why are you laughing at me?”
“Silly… you are not in the past, well, not exactly.”
“What do you mean by that?”
“You are in my realm now.
This, all of this… is merely just a shadow of its former existence.
You are in the Realm of the Dead.”
James turned deathly pale white.
“Then, does this mean that you, you are a… Ghost?” James gasped in realization.
“I am no such fing silly, don’t you know anyfing about the Realm of the Dead?”
“Only what I have seen in movies and read in ghost stories.”
The young girl shook her head, she seemed to know somehow exactly what James was talking about.
“Movies and books never twuly pwotray what the weal Realm of the Dead iseths twuly wike.
The dead, me.
We just simply exist on different level to people of the living.
James went a shade paler than what he already was.
“Oh, oh my God… does this mean I.. I am Dead?”
“No silly.
Of course, you iseths not dead.”
“Eh? What are you trying to tell me?”
“You are able to exist here because of the Moon Magic, whicheths pwotects you.”
James looked up into the midnight sky.
The moon was far, far away into the distant horizon.
“But the moon is no longer over us!”
The young girl smiled and mildly laughed.
“You forget silly, me haseths my Moon Stone to pwotect you.”
James looked at the crystal ball like pendant around the young girl’s neck.
It was a glowing white ball.
It shimmered, which made the young girl’s dress look whiter than white.
“Is that some kind of a crystal ball or something?”
“No silly… This iseths no ordinary crystal ball. This iseths a Moon Crystal.”
“What do you mean… a Moon Crystal.”
“Tis a wery special crystal that comes fwom the moon silly.
Moon Magic iseths wery ancient, it waseths alive in wery ancient times.
But the magic dids not die exactly, it simply became dormant.
You cuds say that the magic fell asleep, until a time wuds come fwo it to be re-awoken again.”
“Oh.. I see. I get it… I think.”Replied James scratching his head.
The young girl smiled.
“Well… me waseths the one that haseths re-awoken the Moon Magic, sort of.”
“What do you mean, sort of?”
“Its a widdle difficult to explain.
But in time, you will come to understand Moon Magic too.”
“Who, me? How?”
“You will learn soon enough.” Remarked the young girl with a giggle.
James just simply scratched his head and then he suddenly just realized something.
“Darn, how stupid of me, I haven’t even introduced myself to you properly. My name is James Mayflower.”
The young girl giggled, then she replied to James.
“Oh, that iseths such a cute surname you haveths there.”
James just turned red with embarrassment.
“So, whats your name then?”
“My name iseths Missy, Melissa Raven-Shade.”
James looked at the girl in utter amazement.
“You are actually a Raven-Shade?”
“Yeth, me iseths.”
“It’s a bit of a mouth full is your name isn’t it? Missy Melissa Raven-Shade.”
“No silly, my pwoper name iseths Melissa, but My Mummy haseths always referred to me aseths being called Missy.”
“Oh.”
Remarked James feeling rather stupid, just then.
Missy’s Moon Crystal pendant began to dim.
The pendant began to look like a marbled crystal ball.
James looked at Missy concerned, her face even had turned an unnatural pale shade of white.
“Missy, what is happening?”
Missy’s voice faltered.
It became different.
James had noticed how her voice changed and switched between being an infant and mature-like.
It was a little confusing at first for James.
However, he was slowly getting used to it by now.
But this time, Missy’s voice had changed completely.
It was eerie.
James felt a cold chill come all over him, as Missy spoke, as though she was possessed.
“The living world is awakening this weakens the link between your realm and this realm.
Fore in this realm, night here is eternal.”
James began to feel weak, he could hardly breathe.
It was as if there was no air in the realm of the Dead.
He suddenly realised what Missy had meant about her pendant which protected him.
It made it possible for him to exist here.
His whole body began to fade away.
Missy knew that James would be drawn back to the realm of the living.
The Moon Magic had been weakened.
Missy reached out her hands towards James, wanting to hold onto him.
“No… it’s too soon, no please don’t take him away from me.
Please…. Nooo.”
James vanished before Missy’s eyes that were filled with tears.
James found himself now to be in the middle of his Aunts garden.
Tears streaked down his face and not knowing why, he cried too.
James Mayflower was standing in the center of his aunt’s garden.
The tears streamed down his face.
Soon he walked back towards his aunt’s house, and quietly returned up into his bedroom,
There was so many questions on his mind.
Such as, just how old and ancient was this Moon Magic.
Why did it become dormant.
Why had Missy, Melissa Raven-Shade re-awoken it?
At first James could not get back to sleep.
It was the early hours of the morning.
The sky was still dark.
He drew back the curtains of his window, and in the far distant horizon, there was a small sparkle of light.
The sun had not as yet arisen.
Dawn had not as yet set.
But Missy was right.
The realm of the living was awakening.
He closed the curtains and got under the covers of his bed.
Soon he fell off to sleep, and his mind drifted off into a dream state.
He stood inside the Gothic hall of the Raven-Shade Hall itself, looking confused.
“What am I doing here?
How am I Here?” James said to himself until a certain voice suddenly spoke back to him.
“You are now in the Dream Realm silly, a place where the dead also exist.”
James turned around and there she was.
“Missy!” Exclaimed James in complete surprise.
“How can the dead exist in dreams?”
“Have you ever wondered why you meet people in your dreams at all?
Even though you have never met them before, and yet you seem to know them.
They are real to you?”
“Yes, why?”
“Well, those people are the dead.
Not all of them.
Some are people you are going to meet.
But on the whole, the Dream Realm is another part of our existence.”
“What… everyone dreams of DEAD people?”
Missy laughed. “No silly. There is an integral link between the Dream Realm and the Realm of the Dead.”
“You mean it’s like the link between the Realm of the Living and your Realm?”
“No, not quite, it is complicated, but you will one day understand.”
James looked at Missy inquisitively.
“Oh… how?”
Missy, just stood there smiling at him.
James became a bit disconcerted.
“Why are you looking at me like that for?”
“Me is just using my imagination,
The dead can manipulate the Realm of dreams.
See for yourself.
” Missy giggled as she took hold of James’s hand and lead him into a room that was filled with mirrored walls.
James looked at himself in utter shock.
He was now wearing an identical dress to the one that Missy was wearing.
James look utterly mortified and he tried to take off the dress.
His fingers failed to undo the small tiny buttons at the back making the dress firmly secured around James’s Body.
“get this thing off me.” James cried.
Missy just simply laughed at him.
“Oh, stop making such a fuss, the dress isn’t real silly.”
“It feels pretty real to me.”
“James. please, it is my wish you be like this way.”
James looked at Missy in sudden confusion.
“What… why?”
“Because me likes you as a girl.”
“But I’m a boy.” James protested.
“But you are not twuly happy being so.”
“What? I am so, happy being a boy.”
“You believe that, yeth. But deep down you are not.”
“You’re just making that up.”
“I would never do such a thing,
sleep on what I told you.
Your realm is now fully awake.”
Missy’s body faded away,
Ghost-like, James awoke from his sleep.
His head in a cold sweat.
He got out of his bed and took a shower.
His mind was confused.
He was happy being a boy as far as he was concerned.
He soon forgot all about Missy’s mysterious words.
James was not about to be put into girls’ clothes.
Neither by his aunt nor by the dead.
He soon got out of the shower.
He began to think of a way to persuade his aunt not to put him in girls clothes.
James soon got dressed and he put on a white pair of underpants.
He had decided that he was not going to wear a nappy today.
For once, Aunt Mary had not dressed him.
James also put on a white T-Shirt, a pair of Blue shorts, white sports socks and blue, and white trainers on his feet.
It was a warm and sunny morning.
he looked at Aunt Mary worriedly.
She looked as though she was ready to go out, as she was putting on her make-up, adjusting her hair and making sure she looked right.
“Are you going out Aunt Mary?”
“Of course I am going out.
I am going out today to buy those girls clothes for you, as I told you I would.”
James turned pale.
“No, Aunt Mary, please, please don’t go out and do that, I am sorry, honestly I am, I won’t ever embarrass you ever again I promise.”
“Oh no, you are not getting out of this and that is final, understood.” Remarked Mary firmly.
James lowered his eyes. “Yes Aunt Mary.”
“Good, be a good boy, go out and enjoy this wonderful sunny day.”
Aunt Mary then opened up her handbag, took out a set of house keys.
There was a spare key to the front door on her key ring, which she quickly removed.
She then gave it to James.
“Here, this is the spare key to the front door, put it into your shorts pocket and whatever you do, don’t lose it.”
James took the key and replied.
“I won’t Aunt Mary I promise.”
James watched as Aunt Mary leave.
She turned to face him.
“Don’t forget to lock the front door before you leave, will you dear?”
“I won’t Aunt Mary, I promise.”
Aunt Mary left with a smile.
James soon left the house too and he made his way towards Raven’s Park, a local and large park area of Raven-Shade.
There was an outdoor swimming pool that was free to use, but there was one rule.
All people who wished and wanted to use the swimming pool had to bring their own swimming clothes and their own towels.
Other than this, the changing facility building, the use of the lockers were all free to use.
There was a pool keeper and he was also the lifeguard .
The pool was of a good size too and there was lots of others there.
Surprisingly, no parents were there.
The life guard/pool keeper however kept a good watchful eye of over the youngsters at the swimming pool.
There was several boys and girl in at the shallow end and several were at the deep end.
It was really beginning to get quite hot.
The youngsters were having such a good time enjoying the cool swimming pool, that was kept cool by a special cooling system that was built into the swimming pool itself.
James got a sudden idea as he so clearly wanted to just simply dive onto the pool.
There were several benches placed for people to sit down, and watch the youngsters swim.
James went over to the boys changing room.
It was an outbuilding that had changing cubical inside.
it had lockers and showers too.
James went inside and looked for a spare cubical to go and change in.
However, they were all used.
James came back out again, his head hung low.
James looked at the ones that were at the shallow end of the swimming pool.
They were really enjoying themselves.
He wanted to so much, just to get into that pool.
The heat was almost becoming unbearable.
James finally decided to just simply take off his T-Shirt, his trainers, and his socks.
He was about to go up to the pool and dive in.
However, the lifeguard had gotten off his chair and grabbed hold of James’s arm.
“Say, what do you think you are doing ?”
James looked around and he uttered in a whimpering tone.
“I was only going to go for a swim.”
The muscle-bound hunk lifeguard did not look too impressed.
“No swimming kit and towel, no use of the pool, got that.”
“Yes sir.” Replied James nervously.
The lifeguard did not let go of his arm.
“Put your clothes back on and either go over to watch these kids swim, or get the Hell out of here.
” James was let go to let him put his T-Shirt back on, his socks and his trainers.
James made his way towards a bench near to the deep end of the swimming pool.
There were two boys and four girls that were close together in the pool.
They all watched as James sat down on the bench and began to cry.
Suddenly one of the boys from that group of kids in the swimming pool got out and he approached James.
“Hello there. My name is Simon… Hey, don’t cry mate, tell me your troubles, I might be able to help.”
James looked up and saw a boy with short blonde hair and blue eyes.
“Oh, thank you, my name is James.”
“So why are you so upset James?”
James began to explain.
But his voice faulted.
The girls in the swimming pool had come a little closer so they could hear James’s response.
To their surprise, but equal delight, James suddenly sounded more like a little girl of 2 years old.
“Me want to go swimming in the pol, but the pool keeper won’t let me, as me has no swimming clothes.”
Simon tried hard not to smirk or laugh.
The girls in the pool began to chitter to each other, giggling.
Suddenly one of the girls called Simon over.
“Oh Simon, can we talk to you for a moment.”
Simon looked at them.
He could tell that the girls had already a plan of some kind.
He smiled and patted James on his shoulder affectionately.
“I fink I might be able to help you there James.
Wait here.
I won’t be long, my friends need me.”
“OK.” Replied James between girlish sobs.
Simon walked over towards the girls into the pool.
They began to talk in a low whisper to each other.
One girl was James’s age, she was the oldest.
Next to her was a girl she looked a year younger.
The other two girls looked younger still.
A young girl in a white dress was sitting at a dressing table.
On this table, an assortment of makeups is laid out and lined up in a vanity case.
A woman all dressed in black stood directly behind the young girl.
This was moments before the girl’s fate.
The girls mother was called Alura.
Her mother placed a Moon Stone pendant around Melissa’s neck.
“I am giving you this Moon Stone pendant as it is your rightful birth rite. So don’t you ever dare lose this, Missy.”
“Yeth Mummy, me won’t lose it, me pwomise.”
“There’s a good little girl.”
The chain upon which the crystal ball like pendant hung was solid gold plated.
The girl looked up at her mother all exited.
“Mummy what is a Moon Stone?”
“Why my dear little girl, the Moon Stone is a most rare sacred stone.
It came from the moon a very long time ago.
It fell to Earth in a great meteor shower.
Only thirteen fragments of the great Moon Heart broke up.
These were scattered, and only five of the fragments of Moon Heart got found.
This is how Moon Magic was discovered.”
Missy’s eyes widened in bewilderment.
“Wow! What iseths Moon Magic Mummy?”
Alura gave Missy a simple smile.
“It is something you can not begin to understand as yet my dear little girl,
But in time you shall understand it.
Moon Magic my dear little girl is a lot older than Witch Craft.
Far much older.
Moon Magic had become part of the Ancient Ancestral Powers…”
“Ancestral Powers!” Remarked Missy in awe.
Alura smiled at her daughter.
“That in time you will come to understand my dear little girl.”
Alura paused as she turned Missy to face her.
“I shall teach you my child,
I shall teach everything you need to know,
However you must first prove your self to be worthy of being truly a good l girl,
Only then shall I begin to teach you,
That which only I know.
Today you can go outside and play,
But keep out of the gardens.”
“I shall Mummy, me pwomise.”
“Good girl.”
Alura let Missy go.
She dashed out of the bedroom and down the spiral staircase.
She rushed outside.
She kept away from the gardens as best as she could.
Alura however watched over Missy like a hawk, from her bedroom window.
She was unaware of the fact that she was even dead…
She was unaware that she was even in the Realm of the Dead.
She awoke in her own room, in her own bed.
But the house smelt of smoke and the entire bedroom was coated with ash.
The young girl could not quite take in what had just happened.
Just then her body began to shimmer with a yellow golden glow.
And then…
she was gone…
Missy was flung hard onto the stiff hardened mattress of the prison.
Like a bed of the prison.
Like a bedroom in which her mother had dragged her to and tossed he into it.
Alura stepped over Missy as she reached down to pick her up off the bed.
Turning Missy to face her, Alura grabbed hold of the chain around Missy’s neck where the Moon Stone hung.
“I shall take that. You are truly not deserving to have it.”
Alura tried to force the pendant off from around Missy’s neck.
Somehow, the entire pendant resisted with a mysterious counter force.
This enraged Alura.
“Why you truly wicked, wicked girl.
You shall not have the Moon Stone, you shall not have it.”
Alura began to summons up within her, all of her powers in her desperate attempt to force the Moon Stone from around Missy’s neck.
Again the pendant re-acted with another counter force.
The Moon Stone itself began to glow.
Then the glow became living flame which spread out from the pendant, suddenly engulfing Missy.
The mysterious flames spread out and engulfed Alura.
Suddenly the whole of Raven-Shade Hall burst into flames.
Somehow, there came a Banshee-like cry from the flaming inferno that was Raven-Shade Hall.
“Ahhhhhhhh… you wicked, wicked girl. Ahhhhhhhh…”
Missy’s Moon Stone pendant had begun to to burn with a Mysterious fire.
This spookily had spread from the pendant to Missy.
Then it spread from Missy to Alura Rave-Shade.
Then suddenly the whole of Raven-Shade Hall had burst into flames…
Meanwhile in Raven-Shade at Raven’s Park 1983.
James Mayflower had befriended a boy called Simon who had some friends in the out door swimming pool.
Simon by now had plans for James.
Simon had approached his friends in the swimming pool.
The eldest girl there in the swimming pool, began to whisper something into Simon’s ear.
Simon’s lips pursed into a big grin and then he went back over towards James, who was whimpering like a little girl.
“Hey James, don’t cry, I have been discussing matters with my friends here…”
Simon looked to be two years older than James.
The other boy was about the same age.
The other friends of Simon were girls.
They all waved at him with cheery giggles.
James just simply waved back.
“One of them has kindly offered to let you wear a spare swimming costume of theirs.
This they have if you really still want to go swimming in the pool here.”
“Yeth me doeseths, so wery, wery much, want to go swimming.”
James was unable to stop lisping like a Sissy, he was way too upset to even notice.
The girls in the swimming pool just simply giggled.
Simon was finding it very hard to keep a straight face, as he spoke to James.
“Come on then James, I’ll introduce you to my friends.”
“Fank you.”
“No problem mate.”
Simon took James over to meet his friends who were still giggling.
“James, this is my best mate, Matthew Harris,
Oh my surname is Walker by the way,
Say what’s your surname James?”
“My surname iseths Mayflower.”
That was all the girls need to hear.
There was now no doubt, what James really was and what they had planned for him would be very fitting.
Simon tried hard not to burst out laughing.
“Cool. Anyway, this here is Sarah Slater.
Next to her is her best friend, Monica Thompson.
Next to Monica is her best friend is Katie Barrows.
Next to Katie is her best friend Daisy Cooper.”
“Hi.” Replied Matthew, Sarah, Monica, Katie and Daisy in unison.
“Hewwo.” Said James nervously.
The girls giggled more at James’s girlish lisp.
James just simply cried even more.
“Hey, hey, it’s OK James, we aren’t laughing at you honest, please don’t cry.”
Said Sarah in a soft cooing kind of tone, which was quite effective as James suddenly stopped crying.
“In fact my second best friend Katie here is the one who is so kind enough to let you borrow her swimming costume.”
James looked at her in utter disbelief.
“What? No way am I wearing a girl’s swimming costume.”
His voice had suddenly returned to normal, Katie looked hurt.
“It is my most favorite swimming costume.
I got this new one today and I wanted to wear it instead.”
Katie suddenly burst into tears.
James looked at Katie shocked and confused.
“Yes, thats right James.”
Remarked Sarah now sticking up for Katie.
“Her swimming costume she likes so much,
she has never offered to any other girl to wear,
so for Katie here to offer to you her favourite swimming costume is a rare honour indeed.
How can you so cruelly turn her down?”
“I’m not, I… I…”
James could not think of an excuse and he now felt so guilty.
“Me iseths so, sowwy.”
James cried, his voice faltering again.
“Me iseths twuly gwateful fwo your generous offer Katie.”
All of the girls looked at James in total astonishment,
Katie looked up at James in eagerness.
“Does this mean you will wear my swimming costume after all?”
James turned red he looked shyly like a little girl as he replied.
“Yeth. Me wants so mucheth to go swimming in the swimming pool.”
James had no idea what had happened.
However he was now aware of where he was.
He was outside the grounds of Raven-Shade Hall.
Then suddenly a voice called out to him in mild surprise.
“James… iseths that you?
James turned around and there before him was Missy.
Her face was one of sheer delight.
However James just simply burst into tears.
Missy flung her arms around James and held him for a while.
“It’s OK sweetie, pwease don’t cry.
Me weally finks you look weally cute in this pink swim suit.
But just then there came this shear heat from James’s body.
Missy quickly stepped away from James.
To her utter shock and horror, his entire body burst into flames.
“Nooo…” Missy screamed at the top of her voice.
James’s body turned into ashes that were suddenly blown away by a mysterious wind, that had not been there before.
“No, no, you can not do this to me.
Can’t you see that I need him?” Cried out Missy to one at all.
Or maybe there was some kind of higher power of some kind, that controlled the Realm of the Dead.
“Please me begs of you bring him back to me…
he’s my Soul Mate…” Remarked Missy in bitter tears.
A deep dark voice suddenly spoke to her.
“You do realise that if you truly wish to have him with you and for always, that he must die in the Realm of the Living?”
“Yeth, me do wealise this and me accepts that.”
“It is only right that he realizes this too and accepts this.”
“Me understands.”
“Very well, use the Moon Stone Pendant, and the power of Moon Magic to bring him back alive.
However, he must be in his own clothes, and choose to be your girl of his own free will.”
“Yeth, I obey gwate and all powerful one.” Replied Missy.
The Moon Stone pendant began to glow around her neck and Missy began to speak the ancient word of Moon Magic.
“Vashna. Duras. Shazahl. Karash-Vah.”
A shimmering, aluminous glow began to swirl in the middle of the air before Missy.
The swirling glow took on the shape of a sphere.
The sphere of light stretched and began to change form and then it faded away.
Stood now before Missy was James.
he looked down at himself.
He was aware somehow that he was no longer wearing the pink swimsuit.
To his surprise and to his relief, he was wearing his own clothes,
However, now Missy looked upset.
“Missy, what just happened?”
“In a sense, you died.” Her voice sounded much mature now.
“What do you mean? Missy, you are not making any sense.”
“I’m so sorry James… I so wanted you to be my Soul Mate, but it is not meant to be.”
“Soul Mate? What do you mean?”
“I, I can’t James, I can not influence you in any way.”
“What?
What do you mean?
I don’t understand.”
“Then come with me and I shall show you.” Missy held out her right hand to James and he took it.
James let Missy lead him into the manor of Raven-Shade Hall.
She took him up the spiral staircase and up to the second floor.
She lead James all the way down a long corridor to the end where there was a nice pink door.
Missy opened it.
Inside the room was like a nursery.
There was a big crib that looked as though it could actually sleep, two people.
There was a big double wardrobe, a big chester drawer, a bedside cabinet, a display case that was filled with dollies and all kinds of cuddly toys.
Missy opened up the wardrobe and it was filled with lots and lots of frilly dresses, they were bigger versions of baby girl dresses.
“I had kept these for you James.”
“What? But I’m a boy…” James protested.
“I know…” Cried Missy…
James could not understand, he scratched his head.
Missy looked upset, but just then, he felt something, it was something he had never realized before.
Just then James began to shed all of his clothes.
He lay down onto the changing table that was also inside the Nursery room.
Missy smiled as she went over towards James.
She took up the baby oil that was on a side shelf next to the changing table.
She began to put the baby oil onto James.
Then she powdered him with talcum powder.
There was a nice pile of Terry Towelling Nappies.
aMissy took up one and she lifted up James’s legs high into the air and slid the nappy underneath him.
Katie’s face lit up.
as did the other girls faces lit up.
They all quickly got out of the pool,
eagerly Katie took James by his hand, and lead him over towards the girls changing room.
The Lifeguard saw them, but he did not try to stop them.
He had a good idea what the girls were up to, and it amused him, so he did nothing but watch.
There was a changing cubical that was free.
Katie went over to her locker that had a key in it.
James Mayflower looked worried as he stepped into the changing cubical.
He closed the curtain of the changing cubical and began to nervously get changed.
By now Katie had taken out of her locker her swim suit.
All of the other girls eagerly waited outside of the cubical.
James shoved all of his clothes under the drawn curtain.
Sarah eagerly and swiftly took them all away with a big giggle.
Sarah soon returned and drew back the curtain, but only very briefly James scream his protest.
“Hey I have seen it all before, and you are going to need to know how to put this on anyway.”
She said, as she held out before James to look at, which was a pretty pink skirted swimsuit, James’s face turned pale.
But he knew now that he could not refuse to wear it.
He was trapped in the girls changing room.
“OK.” He meekly replied.
There was not much else he could say or do for that matter.
So he let Sarah help to put on him the pretty pink skirted swimsuit.
Sarah had a great big grin on her face, as James looked so much like a girl now.
Without warning, she drew back the curtain of changing cubical.
All of the other girls looked on and burst into fits of giggles of laughter.
Sarah then took James by his hand.
She dragged him out into the full open corridor of the changing room.
All of the girls gathered around him to get a really good look at him.
“Oh my GOD. He looks exactly like a girl…”
Oh how the girls all laughed uncontrollably.
“Oh we have to simply see what he looks like from behind.” Cried out the girls.
The skirt part of the swimsuit was really short.
Sarah now turned James around, the swimsuit had straps and a small open back .
All of the girls looked on in astonishment and at the little romp, James had,
Even from behind he looked like a girl.
“Oh my God he looks like a girl even from behind too, are you sure Sarah that he is in fact a boy?”
Asked the girls in disbelief.
Sarah’s lips pursed into a wide smile.
“Oh yes, quite sure.”
She took hold of James’s hand and dragged him out of the changing room.
The rest of the girls followed.
Katie was simply amazed, as her pink swimsuit actually looked far better on James.
Soon all of the others looked in Sarah’s direction
They all could not believe their eyes.
Soon James was dragged into the swimming pool and the other girl surrounded him.
Other than being teased now and again, James actually enjoyed his time in the swimming pool.
Time soon passed and all of the youngsters that were in the pool began to climb out and go into the changing rooms.
It was near to closing time.
Sarah and her band of friends were already gone.
By the time James had realized.
He quickly got out of the swimming pool and dashed into the changing room.
A pair of pink sandals had been left outside of his changing room.
James looked into all of the other cubicles.
They were all empty all of the lockers were all locked and the keys were removed.
James looked on in horror.
The girl had all gone and he was now left wearing the pink skirted swimsuit.
James put on the pink sandals and he left the changing room crying his eyes out,
Knowing now that there was no way he could go back home, the only problem was, was that he really had nowhere else to go to.
James left the park and he made his way toward the woods, he walked on not knowing what to do.
He soon came to a tree and sat down on the grassy area near to the tree.
He just cried and cried.
He had no idea how long he had been crying for but day light had turned to darkness.
Where had the time gone too?
James did not care as to the answer to that one.
The moon soon came out.
James had not even noticed until a moonbeam shone down on him.
Then suddenly his entire body began to glow and then he vanished completely.
Missy folded in the corners of the nappy expertly and pined them into place with nappy pins.,
Then she took out from the wardrobe a pair of pale pink plastic frilly pants.
Missy smiled as she began to pull up the cute crinkly plastic pants up and around James’s waist.
The plastic pants had lovely pink lace trim on them.
Missy had soon placed upon James’s feet a pair of baby booties.
Then a pair of pink Mary Jane’s.
Then Missy placed over James head a pretty frilly pink satin dress that had short puffed sleeves.
Missy got out a nice hairbrush from the chester drawer and she brushed James’s hair.
She then took up two pink silk ribbons and tied James’s hair into pig-tails.
Missy smiled pleased with her handy work.
She soon lead James over towards a full-length mirror.
James now looked at himself in the full-length mirror in shocked surprise.
A pretty baby girl looked back at him in equal surprise and shock.
Missy turned the shocked girl around to face her.
“Welcome home Jessica.”
“Jessica?”
“Well I very well can not call you James now can I?”
“Yeth me suppose not…”
Jessica suddenly looked alarmed, But Missy smiled at her.
“oh your lisping iseths so cute, don’t worry baby, you will get used to that me pwomise you…”
Suddenly Missy’s voice changed.
“I need to tell you something Jessica and it’s important.”
Missy explained to Jessica what it would mean to be with her.
“do you now accept the terms of staying here with me?”
“I am worried about my aunt.”
“She will be fine sweetie.”
Missy took Jessica in her arms and kissed her, now there was a new kind of magic.
